Description: This dataset is a point layer denoting the geographic locations of all Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) bus stops and the relevent attribute data associated with the bus stops. The dataset is comprised of points collected via GPS. Each bus stop was verified by collecting a GPS position at each bus stop sign location. The points were collected in order of the bus route numbers. Once the points were collected for a route, they were differentially corrected and imported into a GIS. After all routes were completed, the point features for each route were merged into one consolidated layer. The points were cross referenced against orthographic photos to check for inconsistencies.
