Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>This GIS, linear feature class was created in 2021. The geographic coverage includes the City of Greensboro, NC City limit going out as far as the City of Greensboro Water/Sewer boundary. Various sources for the data were digitized by observing a 2018 Guilford County orthophoto, ArcMap's Imagery Basemap, as well as 2021 and older Google Streetview.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>When creating the Sidewalk Inventory feature class, the primary goal is to place emphasis on the Facility, or type of sidewalk. The Facility attribute field will highlight the various types of sidewalks in the City of Greensboro. Those are bridges, sidewalks, crosswalks, crossovers, driveways, side paths and include some trails.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Facility types include: </SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Bridges- any sidewalk that goes over/under a bridge is denoted as such.</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Sidewalks- a paved segment located directly beside any road. </SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Crosswalks- any crossing from one side of the street to another that is physically marked with a street marking.</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Crossovers- to denote when crossing from one side of the street to another, intersecting a Street Centerline. This is mainly for the benefit of connectivity in the future with analysis. Please note, these are not designated as safe crossings, just that crossing is possible.</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Driveways- designated driveways for businesses and not residential.</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Sidepaths- categorized as a recognized paved trail that is also a sidewalk. Created for connectivity purposes.</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Trails- meandering sidewalks not directly beside a road that assist in connectivity to other sidewalk facilities.</SPAN></P></LI></UL><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>The fields that could be very helpful are the Streetblock (street name + block number), Buffer (type of buffer between sidewalk and road), Relative_Location (whether the sidewalk is above, below or on ground), Text_Field (street name) and Number1_Field (block number).</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
